School Photos - Arizona Bowl Surprise
Santa Rita High School had a big surprise on November 24! Dental teacher Jena Simental was honored by representatives from the Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl with a $1,000 check for her classroom. As part of the Extra Yard for Teachers program, the award celebrates educators who go above and beyond for their students.
In her dental program, students can earn real professional certifications before they graduate, giving them a strong start in the healthcare field. The surprise was made even more special with Ms. Simental’s family and several former students showing up to cheer her on. Her current students were proud to see her recognized for the impact she continues to make. Huge thank you to the Arizona Bowl for supporting amazing educators like Mrs. Simental!

School Photos - Arizona Bowl Helmet Visit
On November 4, Santa Rita's girls flag football team closed out their inaugural season with a special guest — the inflatable Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl helmet. The team was able to make a grand entrance onto the field, running through the helmet, and was propelled to end the season with a win over Palo Verde.
